India Activist Ends Hunger Strike After 26 Days, Education Reforms Remain Elusive Sonam Wangchuk's 26 day hunger strike has ended with a mix of relief and frustration among protesters demanding education reforms in India.

The activist, who lost 11kg during the fast, was assured by the government that no legal action would be taken against those rallying at Jantar Mantar.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical movement turned unlikely force for change, has been protesting for over a month against paper leaks and irregularities in top exams.
