Paramount Agrees to Delay Warner Bros. Merger into 2027 The proposed merger between Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Discovery has hit a roadblock.
A joint lawsuit filed by 12 states against the deal has prompted Paramount to agree to delay the merger until at least 2027.
Initially approved by the US Department of Justice in June, the $111 billion merger was subject to conditions imposed by the European Commission, including Paramount's exit from a distribution deal with Universal.
